The current system uses the names Perfect, Great, Good, Poor, and Miss to indicate a player's accuracy. The player's accuracy is judged for each note played. When a guitar icon is displayed in the Wailing Bonus column along with an associated note, the player can tilt the guitar upright while playing the note to receive bonus points. To play the correct note, the player must hold down the buttons corresponding to the colored bars, and move the fret lever when the bars reach the yellow fretting line. Individual notes and chords are represented by small colored bars that scroll upward in the columns. Each note scroll consists of four columns: one each for the red, green, and blue buttons, and a fourth column, known as the Wailing Bonus column.

Colorful animations for each song are displayed in the center of the screen. Two note scrolls-one for each player-are displayed at the left and right sides of the screen. Than right now!” As if the song wasn’t perfect enough, they shout out Bob Marley, while John Frusciante quotes the guitar riff from Black Sabbath’s “Sweet Leaf.GuitarFreaks is played using a controller designed to imitate the shape of an electric guitar, most like the Fender Jazzmaster or Fender Mustang. But if you have a full closet and someone sees something they like, if you give it to them, the world is a better place.” This was, apparently, a new way for him to look at the world. Hagen told him to keep it, saying, "If you have a closet full of clothes and you try to keep them all, your life will get very small.

When Kiedis was looking through her closet he saw a jacket he liked. In his memoirs, Anthony Kiedis tells a story about visiting his then-girlfriend, German new wave icon Nina Hagen. The song’s simplicity is a bit deceptive: the lyrics aren’t just vamping.

Flea’s greatest bassline anchors the funkiest song ever written about the benefits of generosity.
